What Ownward is
A planner that helps you and your team prepare insurance credentialing paperwork and keep track of it.
Full wording
- Ownward Health ("Ownward", "we") provides a web service that organizes credentialing tasks, uploaded documents and references, consented document analysis, insurer steps and follow-ups for independent mental health practices in the United States.
- Maya, Ownward's guide, explains steps and drafts messages. Her answers are suggestions.
What it is not
Not legal, tax, billing or clinical advice, and not a submission service. Insurers decide who joins their networks.
Full wording
- Ownward does not submit applications, sign or attest on your behalf, or guarantee that any insurer, platform or program will accept you, on any timeline.
- Dates, rates and requirements shown in Ownward are planning aids. Check them with the insurer, board or program before you rely on them.
- Ownward is not a medical record and is not designed for patient information.
Your part
Keep what you enter accurate, submit and sign official forms yourself, and never enter patient information.
Full wording
- You are responsible for the accuracy of what you submit to insurers and boards, and for your answers to disclosure questions.
- Do not enter patient information, Social Security numbers, tax ID numbers, bank account numbers or passwords.
- Keep your sign-in secure. The practice owner decides who joins the practice and can remove people at any time.
Your data is yours
You own what you put in. An owner can export it at any time or delete the practice.
Full wording
- You grant us only the permission we need to store, process and show your data to run Ownward for you. We do not sell it or use it to train AI.
- How we protect, share and delete data is described in our Privacy page, which is part of these terms.
Fair use
Use Ownward for your own practice's credentialing, and do not try to break it or reach anyone else's data.
Full wording
- Do not probe, overload or bypass our security, scrape the service, reverse engineer it beyond what the law allows, or use it to send unwanted messages.
- We may suspend an account that puts the service or other people at risk, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
Price
Ownward is free to start. If we ever charge for something, we will tell you the price before you pay anything.
Full wording
- Any paid plan will be offered with its price and terms shown up front, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.
Changes
We improve Ownward over time. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you first.
Full wording
- We will post the new terms with a new date and, for material changes, notify account owners by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Ownward after that means you accept them.
- If we ever shut Ownward down, we will give at least 30 days' notice so you can export your data.
Our responsibility
We work hard to keep Ownward available and correct, but it is provided as is, and our liability is limited.
Full wording
- To the extent the law allows, Ownward is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including delayed or denied credentialing, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you paid nothing.
